The House
Built in 1876, our quaint farmhouse has been fully renovated, and features 4 bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, a cozy family room and dining area, an amazing country kitchen, a mud room (featuring a full sized laundry facility), and two large decks. The house is fully heated and air conditioned, with filtered water taps and a water softener system. The farmhouse has internet, and a SMART TV with many live channels. Feel free to log into any of your streaming services! We also provide a hair dryer, and a fifties cabinet-style ironing board (with iron) is located in the mudroom. There is a dishwasher to make clean up quick & easy. A barbecue and fire pit are just outside the door for enjoying a warm evening outside.

family/dining room
This cozy space features dining seating for 6. Enjoy the electric fireplace and Samsung SMART TV television. There's also an Xbox One with two remotes for gaming and watching a dvd from our extensive collection. You can also log into your streaming accounts through the TV or Xbox if you feel like doing some binge watching.
primary bedroom
Settle down for the night in this large primary bedroom, with views of the Beaver Valley. This room features a luxurious queen size bed. Two cozy bathrobes are hidden away in the closet should you feel like getting extra comfy.
parlour bedroom
The main floor parlour has been converted into a bedroom to accommodate those who don't feel up to tackling the stairs to slumber. It has recently been given a woodland makeover full of adorable forest creatures! It features a queen size bed, a bay window and a view of the Beaver Valley. If you choose the 1 bedroom option from our packages, this is the room included with your stay.
double room
A quiet but cheery room to wind down in at the end of the day. An ultra-comfortable double bed and farmhouse decor, make this room extra special.
bathroom escape
At the end of a busy day, escape into the glorious full bathroom, complete with a clawfoot tub, and views of the Beaver Valley. A shower stall is also available. There is a second 2 piece bathroom located in the mudroom.
The Property
Located on 100 acres, directly on the Bruce Trail, The Farmer's House has so much to do, both on site and in the surrounding towns and villages.

The Farmer's House is located right on the Bruce Trail, which means you can step out the front door and start hiking! So many trails so close by, suitable for hiking boots, atvs, dirt bikes, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing!

It has been said that our property has the absolute best view of the Beaver Valley. We'd have to agree. A stone fire pit complete with firewood will be ready to entertain you late spring through late fall; don’t forget the marshmallows!

The Farmer's House features 2 large decks, the perfect setting to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sun rise. A large Weber barbecue is ready for whatever you love to grill!
the farmer's wall
If you are so inclined, a hike or ride to the lower portion of our property will bring you to this phenomenal stone wall, built over 140 years ago. It was used to contain cattle in the pasture. At around 300m long, it is mind boggling to try to imagine the amount of labour it took to construct. It is a wonderful spot to stop for a picnic lunch.
water features
The 14 acre hardwood forest located at the very back of our property is an undisturbed escape into nature. Teaming with streams, it is heaven to your ears. If you are nimble and bring the right shoes, a 30-45 minute hike (not for beginners) features a spectacular 40' waterfall.

Guests of The Farmer's House have exclusive and private access to our little piece of heaven, our indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. It is located at the main house, about 200 m from the farmhouse. The pool is kept at a balmy 84 degrees F. There is parking and a private entrance, so if mother nature is being naughty, there's no need to walk. The pool features 2 full change rooms complete with towels, private water closets, stocked showers and hair dryers. Your stay includes use of this room for 2 hours per day (continuous). Additional use of this room is available for an extra fee.
tennis anyone?
Our tennis court is ready for you to get your game on. Simply book your court time via text upon your checkin and we will have rackets and balls waiting for you (4 adult & 2 child rackets available). The court can also be set up with agility equipment as an off leash area for your furry family member; please make this request when booking. Available seasonally at no extra charge.
